Lexington pulled off a sweep at the Region 5-4A cross country championship meet on Wednesday.
The top-ranked Lexington boys turned in a perfecxt score of 15 points, while the second-ranked girls squad had a near-perfect tally of 17 points.
Colby Coulter (15:41.71), Tony Morales (15:45.35), Zack Langston (15:53.99), Blake White (16:17.36) and Erik Wendt (16:29.85) were the top five individual runners, while Zach Trim and Keylan Owen, the non-scoring runner in the lineup, also cracked the top 10. Trim was seventh, followed by Owen in eighth place.
Lexington’s girls had four of the top five runners. Haylee Love was the individual champion with a time of 19:09.64. Katelin Killman was second in 19:10.30, Bari Robinson was third in 19:13.96, Kaitlyn Keene finished fifth in 20:32.52 and Valeria Feliciano was sixth in 20:48.65.
