Swansea handed Silver Bluff its first Region 5-2A boys basketball loss of the season on Tuesday, downing the first-place Bulldogs 65-56.
It seemed to be a case of business-as-usual in the first half for the host Bulldogs, who had an 11-point lead at the break. But the Tigers rallied in the second half, tasking advantage of poor frere-throw shooting by Silver Bluff, which cashed in just 12 of 30 chances at the line in the game.
Terrence Salley led Swansea with 19 points and Gerald Loadholt added 16 to the cause.
The Tigers improved to 8-13 overall, 3-3 in the region. Silver Bluff (5-1 in conference) dropped into a first-place tie with Edisto, which beat Pelion on Tuesday.
