CAJ girls move to 6-0 in Region 3-1A

C.A. Johnson’s girls basketball team opened the second half of Region 3-1A play the same way it opened the conference campaign on Jan. 10 – with a win over Great Falls. Friday’s road meeting was much tougher, but the Green Hornets (8-9, 6-0) prevailed 41-39 to stay put in first place.

Logan Furtick (12 points), Deja Smith (9) and Nakia Owens (8) led he CAJ scoring parade.

In the nightcap, the top-ranked, defending state champion Red Devils blew by the Hornets 65-39. The Green Hornets boys dropped to 6-11, 3-3.
