At St. Matthews, Swansea’s defense gave the Tigers an early lead, as Terrance Salley opened scoring with a 34 yard fumble return. and the Tigers defeated Calhoun County 38-13.
Salley also posted 10 tackles on defense, and 63 yards and two touchdowns receiving. Tailback Travis Loadholt rushed 25 times for 105 yards and quarterback Jordan Chavis posted 135 passing yards.
Swansea (1-0) travels to Pelion next week.

PATRICK HENRY 18, RICHARD WINN 15
At Winnsboro, Patrick Henry’s Paul Daniel DeLoach had 18 rushes for 74 yards and scored the winning touchdown on the final play. Cody Youmans scored both touchdowns for Richard Winn, while Mason Gibbons kicked a 24-yard field goal in the fourth quarter. Gibson Rawl led the Patrick Henry defense with 13 tackles, an interception and two fumble recoveries.
DILLON 27, PAGELAND CENTRAL 13
At Pageland, Dillon’s Joe Blue scored on runs of 30 and 26 yards in the second half to finish with seven carries for 70 yards and three touchdowns. Also for Dillon, Jabo Lee had 16 carries for 126 yards.
Dillon got on the board in the first quarter with a 26-yard pass from Thomas Grossetti to Breon Page, with Tara Grimsley kicking the extra point. Central’s Debias Tyson hit Kelton Myers for a touchdown to tie the score in the second quarter, and then Central took the lead when Tyson completed a 53-yard pass to Raheem Lockhart. But the Wildcats scored from one yard out before the half to regain the lead.
Central’s Tyson threw eight completions for 157 yards.
Dillon (1-0) hosts Lake View next.
CONWAY 42, GEORGETOWN 25
At Conway, the Tigers bounded to an early lead as Mykal Moody completed a 33-yard pass to Bryan Edwards. Malcolm Green followed with a 90-yard kickoff return touchdown and Jaleel Crossland added a 15-yard scoring run. Moody and Green connected on scoring passes of 5 and 9 yards as Moody finished 10-of-12 for 185 yards. Green had 82 receiving yards.
Georgetown quarterback Jordan Ward scored all four of the Bulldogs’ touchdowns, with passes of 41, 31 and 7 yards, and a 32-yard run, but the Bulldogs were 1-4 on extra point attempts. Jacob Moreland led Conway’s defense with 13 tackles.
Conway takes on Northwestern at Myrtle Beach’s Doug Shaw Stadium next week.
AIRPORT 38, WESTSIDE 20
At Westside, the Eagles held off Westside’s fourth-quarter rally. Sir Sutton completed two touchdown passes, and linebacker Raymond Smith’s 96-yard fumble return helped give the Eagles a solid lead in the first half.

At Hilton Head, Quayshon Myers made a big debut at tailback, rushing for 190 yards and three touchdowns on 17 carries. Quarterback Jake Nidiffer completed 15 of 27 passes for 241 yards and two touchdowns, giving up one interception. The Skyhawks’ defense held Hilton Head Christian to 92 yards of offense.

At Gilbert, the host Indians lost an early lead despite Saluda quarterback Dar’twon Hill going 7-of-12 for 136 yards and combining with Dan Myers for 99 yards rushing. Gilbert’s Omar Bethea posted 54 rushing yards, while receiver Raymond Padgett notched 111 yards on five catches. Indians quarterback Mitch Spires was 15-39-1 for 258 yards.
