Byrnes at Gaffney
The Rebels, led by quarterback Shuler Bentley and receiver Akia Booker, look to avenge their regular- season loss. Gaffney (10-3) has won seven in a row and outscored opponents 395-235.
White Knoll at Dutch Fork
The Timberwolves put their hard-nosed rushing game up against Dutch Fork’s balanced offense in a rematch of their regular season Region meeting.
Class 4A Division 2
Bluffton at Northwestern
Re-entering the playoffs after an ouster by now-ineligible Goose Creek, Bluffton (12-1) looks to make the most of its second chance. Northwestern is 11-2 and has won seven in a row.
Greenwood at South Pointe
Undefeated Greenwood seeks to return to the finals. South Pointe quarterback Devin Pearson leads a powerful passing game.
Union at Daniel
The visiting Yellow Jackets have outscored opponents 128-80 in the playoffs and are coming off a three-point win.
Hartsville at Strom Thurmond
Jeff Calabrese’s undefeated Red Foxes host at Strom Thurmond squad that has outscored opponents 578-157, and won 12 in a row. Daniel (11-2) has a 487-131 scoring advantage for the season, and has allowed 44 points in the postseason.
Class 2A Division 1
Newberry at Fairfield Central
The 10-3 Bulldogs roll into Winnsboro on a six-win streak, looking to run through the Griffins’ staunch defense. Fairfield Central, led by Ryheem McDaniel, have held opponents to an average 12 points per game.
Dillon at Timberland
While its offense has racked up yardage and touchdowns, Dillon has allowed just nine touchdowns in eight consecutive wins. The 11-1 Wolves have outscored opponents 96-27 in the first two rounds.
Class 2A Division 2
Abbeville at Chesnee
Abbeville, last season’s Class A Division 1 champion, has posted consecutive shutouts to start the playoffs, as looks to mark its first season in 2A with a title berth. Chesnee (11-1) has averaged 50 points over the last four games.
Bishop England at Silver Bluff
Led by quarterback Nick Theos, the Battling Bishops have outscored opponents 491-167 and have not lost since August. Silver Bluff is 3-1 at home and has won seven in a row.
