Junior Adonis Williams had a game-high 22 points, and sophomore Rob Ferraro added 17 as the Class AA Waccamaw boys basketball team knocked off Class AAA Socastee 64-60 on Monday.
“Basically they did everything we asked them to do in practice,” Warriors coach Mike Quinn said of his team. “They played smart, hard, and they played together on both ends of the floor. There’s no doubt that those three compenents worked together for a total team effort. I’m very proud of the intensity tonight on both ends of the floor for 32 minutes. And we hope to continute this momentum for the rest of our season.”
Matt Fisher added six points and six rebounds, and Stephon Funnye had seven points and four assists for Waccamaw.
Zach O’Hanesty had a team-high 13 points for the Braves, and Erick Mortel added 10.

Kira Bell had 12 points and six steals, and Megan Harrelson and Sydney Wortham had 10 points each for the Braves.
Caroline Gore had eight points, 10 rebounds and five steals, and Teetee Jones added eight points, five rebounds and five assists for Christian Academy.
