Lexington High’s Bailey Harris was one of the four coaches inducted into the S.C. Basketball Coaches Association (SCBCA) Hall of Fame at a banquet on Friday night.
Lexington High’s Bailey Harris was one of the four coaches inducted into the S.C. Basketball Coaches Association Hall of Fame at a banquet Friday night.
Coaches Tommy Johnson (West Florence, Wilson and Socastee), Ken Haselden (Andrew Jackson) and Jane Ashworth Lewis (Chapman) also were inducted.
Harris has coached at Lexington for 26 seasons and led the Wildcats to state championships in 1996 and 2000. Harrris’ teams have won 529 games and advanced to the state finals six times.
His teams have captured 11 region championships and also appeared in nine Lower or Upper State finals during that span.
The SCBCA All-State players also were honored Friday night.
