Blythewood will take on Greenville in the South Carolina Diamond Invitational championship at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday.
The host Bengals (15-3) advanced to the finals as the only 3-0 team in the field after pulling off a Saturday sweep of Wesleyan Christian and Hammond.
Blythewood defeated Wesleyan Christian 9-6. Aaron Dahn belted a three-run home run to highlight a six-run burst in the top of the second inning that staked the Bengals to a lead they never relinquished. Thomas Bessinger was the other offensive standout with two hits and two RBIs. Bessinger also saved the win for Zach Hamilton with a scoreless inning of relief in the seventh.
Eight different Bengals drove in runs in the late Saturday night finale. Andrew Beckwith and Derek Croxton led the way with two RBIs apiece. Drew Ellis was the winning pitcher in relief of Allen Louthian.
Brookland-Cayce (8-6) earned a spot in the third-place game with nipping South Aiken 6-5 on Saturday. The Bearcats scored five runs in the first inning, thanks in part to a two-run double by Mason Shannon. After SA rallied to tie the score at 5-5, the Bearcats got in the winning run in the bottom of the fifth. B.J. DeWalt reached base on and error and eventually scored on another Thoroughbred defensive miscue.
