Jolly Doolittle has been named the coach at Ben Lippen High.
He has served 10 years at W. Wyman King Academy in Batesburg. His roles there have included athletics director, head football coach, and coach of speed and strength.
Ben Lippen athletics director Ben Porter says Doolittle has the credentials, competencies and competitiveness to lead the Falcons, and understands the purpose of athletics in the development of Christian scholars.
“Having known Jolly Doolittle for many years, I have had the opportunity to see his heart for his athletes and abilities as a coach,” Porter said. “I am confident that his approach to coaching and teaching our student-athletes will be a tremendous fit our mission at Ben Lippen.”
Doolittle also will teach high school government classes and varsity sports at Ben Lippen.
Doolittle replaces Reggie Shaw, who was named coach at A.C. Flora .
