The seventh annual Clash of the Carolinas all-star soccer games take place Saturday in the Lowcountry at Blackbaud Stadium, home of the Charleston Battery.
The Clash of the Carolinas is the only interstate all-star soccer clash in the nation.
The boys and girls games pit the top senior players from South Carolina against their counterparts from North Carolina.
Six Midlands players are on the Sandlappers rosters – Brookland-Cayce forward Hebert Cojulun, Irmo defender Bobby Dukes, Dutch Fork midfielder Graham Jermstad, Blythewood keeper Lauren Killian, Lexington defender Kayla Grady and Dutch Fork midfielder Erin Morabito.
Never miss a local story.
The girls game starts at 1 p.m. with the boys to follow at 3 p.m.
North Carolina has dominated so far. The Tar Heels have a 2-1-3 advantage in the boys game, and had won five of the six girls outings.
Tourbeau Sports Group will provide live video steaming of both games at www.tourbeausportsgroup.com.
