At Swansea, Clay Lucas passed for 159 yards and two touchdowns to lead Swansea to a 42-0 season-opening win against Calhoun County.
Johnathon Sutton rushed eight times for 79 yards and two scores for the Tigers, and Nick Tompkins caught six passes for 66 yards and a touchdown.
Chris Brunswick led the Swansea defense with eight tackles.
Swansea plays host to Pelion next week.

Cardinal Newman 12, North Central 6 (OT)
At Cardinal Newman, Evan DuBois caught a touchdown pass from Cole Halverson in overtime to lift Cardinal Newman to victory.
Halverson finished with 10 completions in 27 attempts for 154 yards and two touchdowns. Stefone Brown had four receptions for 87 yards, including a 14-yard touchdown pass from Halverson in the second quarter to put the Cardinals ahead 6-0.
For North Central, William Jenkins rushed for 166 yards, including a 6-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter.
DeSean McMillian lead the Cardinal Newman defense with 14 tackles.

Saluda 28, Gilbert 21
At Saluda, Saluda scored four times in the first half to hold off Gilbert. Saluda quarterback Maurice Howard had 20 carries for 116 yards and two touchdowns, and was 6-of-14 passing for 63 yards.
Saluda’s Juwon Foulks carried nine times for 56 yards, Juwan Jones had a 28-yard intereption return for a touchdown, and defensive end Denzel Larry had two sacks.
Gilbert’s Jakayus Leaphart had 10 carries for 113 yards, including a 47-yard TD run. Mitch Spires was 16-for-37 passing for 188 yards, Jalon Bright grabbed five passes for 48 yards, and Gabe McNatt had eight tackles, including a sack.

South Aiken 40, Richland Northeast 12
After seeing their two-score lead dwindle to two points after a blocked punt and a fumble to start the third quarter, South Aiken senior running back Damien Brown returned a kickoff 85 yards to set up a Bo Baldwin 2-yard quarterback sneak for a touchdown, and the T-Breds rumbled on to a season-opening victory.
Brown helped give the T-Breds their halftime lead with a 69-yard touchdown run in the first quarter.
Brown finished the night with 98 yards and a score on six carries in the running game. Fellow senior running back Adam Allen had 64 yards and two scores on 10 carries and also caught a screen pass and took it 52 yards for a touchdown to start the game’s scoring.
Baldwin finished the night 4-of-10 passing for 97 yards and two touchdowns.
The T-Bred defense limited the Cavaliers to 106 total yards of offense, 57 of which came on 15 carries by Jaquari Brown.
