SEC/ACC Rankings

1. Alabama

Should hold this spot until the SEC championship game.

2. Florida

Should hold No. 1 spot after the SEC championship game.

3. Georgia

Bring back Champ Bailey! Or Boss Bailey! Or heck, Beetle Bailey.

4. LSU

Les Miles must be a really fun guy to be around these days.

5. North Carolina

Wasn’t it supposed to take Butch Davis longer to turn this team into a power?

6. Florida State

You know, the ACC title game could still be FSU vs. Miami, in Tampa ...

7. Miami

... so this year, attendance could approach the magic mark of 25,000.

8. South Carolina

Steve Spurrier also alternates shaving razors. The Bic is reliable. The Gillette cuts close, but can also burn.

9. Virginia Tech

The Hokies’ QB situation is so wacky, Stephen Garcia played two downs for them last week and nobody noticed.

10. Maryland

If Terps have a chance against Tar Heels, Greivis Vasquez needs to have a big game.

Chamber of Commerce in Boise is calling Tech to see if they’d like their regular hotel rooms.

If not for Butch Davis, BC’s Jeff Jagodzinski would be coach-of-the-year material.
