•  Walters State pitcher Zac Fuesser (a York High grad) was drafted in the 34th round (No. 1,015) by the Pittsburgh Pirates.

•  Fairfield Central High shortstop Justin Trapp was picked in the 34th round (No. 1,022) by the Kansas City Royals.

•  USC pitcher Alex Farotto was drafted in the 34th round (No. 1,033) by the Chicago White Sox.
