Michigan named top seed in men’s hockey tourney
Top-ranked Michigan is heading east in the NCAA Division I men’s hockey tournament, while defending champion Michigan State is heading west.
Michigan, seeded No. 1 overall for the first time since 1997, will open with Niagara on Friday night in Albany, N.Y. No. 2 seed Miami of Ohio will face Air Force on Saturday in Worcester, Mass.
Defending champion Michigan State will open against Colorado College on Friday night in Colorado Springs.
