A pair of retired Division I-A football coaches and four current coaches with ties to South Carolina will conduct a clinic May 3 at Seawell’s.
Former Clemson coach Danny Ford and ex-Air Force coach Fisher DeBerry, a native of South Carolina, are scheduled to speak, along with S.C. State coach Buddy Pough, Presbyterian coach Bobby Bentley, USC defensive coordinator Ellis Johnson and Clemson linebackers coach David Blackwell.
The clinic, designed for coaches ranging from youth leagues to high schools, will begin at 8:30 a.m. Cost is $40. Registration checks are payable to SMP and may be sent to 920 Woodrow St., No. 3, Columbia, SC 29205.
