The ACC has partnered with CBS College Sports Network to provide exclusive broadband streaming video starting this season.

CBS College Sports Network will provide content for the league’s ACC Select video service at www.theACC.com. ACC Select offers free and subscription access to its collection of live and on-demand streaming video of league games and other features. More than 600 live games will be available during the 2008-09 school year.

CBS College Sports Network plans to launch a revamped version of the ACC Select player.

“Together with the ACC and Raycom, we are providing unparalleled access to the league, bringing more ACC sports into more homes than ever before,” Tom Buffolano, CBS College Sports Network vice president and general manager of digital programming and subscription said. “The ACC Select product we’re launching for this season will allow fans to fully personalize their viewing experience, and stay connected in more ways than ever before with their favorite teams.”

Streaming NFL games underway. Thursday’s NFL season opener between the New York Giants and Washington Redskins,, like all NBC Sunday Night telecasts, featured the NFL’s live companion broadcast service available through NFL.com.

The companion broadcast, designed to be watched on a computer screen along with the television broadcast, allows users to access multiple camera feeds, in-game highlights and statistics.

PC on your, well, PC. Presbyterian football hit cyberspace for the first time on Saturday when the Blue Hose-Fayetteville State game was streamed live over the Internet by the Big South Conference’s The Edge service.

All Presbyterian home games and away Big South Conference games will be available on the service this season. Cost is $5.95 per game or $44.95 for a football season pass. Find more information about The Edge at www.bigsouthsports.com.

Peach Belt gear available online. The Peach Belt Conference launched its own online store Tuesday, offering league apparel for sale to the general public for the first time.

The site, found at www.peachbeltconference.org/store, has golf shirts, baseball caps and a number of different T-shirts with logos for the league’s 11 schools in Georgia and both Carolinas.

The merchandise is manufactured by North Augusta-based Communigraphics, Inc.
