“LUZITA’S BIG IDEA”: 1 and 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Saluda River Academy for the Arts, 1520 Duke St., West Columbia. The Bobcat Players theatre troupe and the SRA dance company production based on the book “The Big Idea,” by Ellen Schecter. The play follows an inner-city youth who gets the idea to turn a trashy lot into a community garden with the help of her family and friends. Admission is free but donations will be accepted to support the theatre and dance programs. (803) 739-4095

BLOODY MARYS AT THE CAPITAL CITY CLUB: 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at 1201 Main St., #2500. In honor of “March is Red Cross Month,” Bill Cronin, executive director of the American Red Cross, will be the featured celebrity bartender, serving drink specials (above mentioned Bloody Marys, club brand liquors, house wine and domestic beer) for $4 a pop.
