Millie Bobby Brown wears multiple wedding gowns in 'Enola Holmes 3' trailer

Millie Bobby Brown is back for Enola Holmes 3 - and she’s getting married.

The two-minute-long trailer, which dropped on Tuesday, June 9, shows Brown, 22, in the back of a horse-drawn carriage while wearing a wedding dress. The clip cuts to the inside of a church where Louis Partridge is waiting for her so their characters - Enola and Tewkesbury, respectively - can exchange vows.

Brown’s Enola quickly loses her bouquet of flowers and veil as she climbs out of the carriage and pulls out a rifle because, naturally, there is what appears to be a villain chasing her.

“I understand you may need some explanation as to how this all began,” Brown’s voiceover is heard saying. “Life was everything I wanted it to be when it was just the two of us.”

Tewkesbury proposes and an incredible wedding gown montage is shown, but Brown’s Enola starts getting cold feet as she begins to understand what a marriage really means.

“I’ve spent the last six years making myself feel worthy of the Holmes name,” she says. “Would I now be giving that up?”

Enola wonders if she can “love him” without “losing myself” as the trailer continues.

It is eventually revealed that she is not actually being chased by a bad guy on the road to the wedding. However, Dr. Watson (Himesh Patel) is attempting to tell Enola that her brother Sherlock Holmes (Henry Cavill) “has been kidnapped.”

It appears wedding festivities are halted as Enola, with the help of her future husband, starts the search for her brother.

Brown debuted in the role of Enola Holmes in 2020 when the first film started streaming on Netflix. She returned for the sequel in 2022. It was announced in November 2024 that a third movie was in development.

“I’m really, really excited for people to see it,” Brown told Collider of the third movie in November 2025. “I think it’s a very different Enola Holmes that you’re going to be able to see.”

She added, “You asked for romance, so we’ll give you romance.”

Partridge previously teased the film’s wedding aspect during an April interview with People.

“With any wedding, there’s drama around every corner, and this one is no exception,” he said. “Enola and Tewkesbury go through a bit of a rough patch. The stakes are higher than we’ve seen before, but our characters are older and wiser than before too, and they care about each other a lot.”

Enola Holmes 3 premieres via Netflix on Wednesday, July 1.
