'Twilight' Star Taylor Lautner Reveals Sex of First Baby in Emotional Video

Taylor Lautner and Tay Lautner are over the moon with their latest baby news.

The Twilight actor, 34, and his pregnant wife, 29, took to Instagram on Sunday, June 7, to announce the sex of their first child after sharing the news that they were expecting back in March.

Taylor and Tay began the social media video huddled around a laptop as they moved through a series of computer prompts to reveal the sex of their unborn baby. With one final click, the website revealed that the pair would soon be welcoming a baby girl, prompting the parents-to-be to scream in excitement.

Taylor then embraced his wife, who was in tears at the news. "We did it!" he told her as he placed a kiss on her forehead.

The couple captioned the sweet video, "Our little secret is now yours."

The Abduction actor followed up the couple's reveal post with a heartfelt reflection on becoming a "girl dad" shared to his Instagram Stories.

"My dream has always been to become a girl dad," he began. "All my puppies have been girls. Some of my best friends in the whole world are girls. My only sibling is my baby sister. I have an incredible mother. Tay is my favorite person to ever exist and she just so happens to be a girl."

"All I wanted was a healthy baby but deep down this moment is what I was dreaming of," he continued. "The weight that was lifted off my shoulders in this moment knowing that dream came true was unlike anything I've felt."

Praising his pregnant wife, Taylor wrote, "Tay is the strongest person I know and my hero. I can't wait to welcome this baby girl into our world. Team girl!"

The couple, who tied the knot in 2022, announced on March 26 that they were expecting their first child. "What's better than two Taylor Lautners?" the dad-to-be wrote on Instagram at the time as a nod to his and his wife's similar names.
