Richland County sheriff's deputies are searching for two suspects involved in an armed robbery Wednesday evening that left one man with a stab wound, according to department officials.
Lt. Curtis Wilson, a department spokesman, said deputies responded to the 2700 block of Broad River Road near Seminole Road at 7 p.m. to reports of an armed robbery. When deputies arrived they found one male victim with a stab wound to his upper body.
Wilson said the victim told deputies that he was approached by two black males who then assaulted him. After a brief altercation between the victim and the suspects, one suspect stabbed the victim in the upper body, took his wallet and both suspects fled the area.
The victim was transported to a local hospital to receive treatment for a non life-threatening wound, Wilson said.
Sheriff's deputies are continuing to search the area for the suspects.
