At Des Moines, Iowa, USC’s Jason Richardson ran the day’s fast preliminary time and won his heat to advance to today’s semifinals in the 110 hurdles at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
Richardson ran a 13.26, .14 better than his nearest competition. Also advancing was the USC women’s 1,600-relay team ( Brandi Cross, Faraign Giles, Gabrielle Glenn and Porche Byrd), which came in fifth overall in the prelims to advance to Saturday’s final.
