LB Matt Coffee (5-11 210) of Fort Walton Beach, FL made an unofficial visit to USC over the weekend, and he left Columbia with little doubt in hs mind about where he'll play his college football.
"I didn't commit then but they are my leader now and I'm really feeling good about them," Coffee said. "I'm going to commit soon, probably by the end of the summer. I loved the campus and I really liked the stadium. They are building some new stuff like the academic center and the training room. It's going to be nice. Coach Spurrier was out of town and coach Johnson was attending a wedding, so I spent most of my time with coach Beamer."
Coffee also has offers from Ole Miss, NC State, Maryland, Illinois, Southern Miss, Marshall, Iowa State and Mississippi State.
Coffee's brother plays at Alabama, but he says an offer from the Crimson Tide wouldn't change his feeling about USC. "I wouldn't jump on an offer," he said. "I would stick with USC."
