DB Austin Williams (5-11 175) is a speedy corner (4.3 clocking) from Jacksonville, FL who has been getting strong interest from USC. "I talked to coach Spurrier back in the spring, and South Carolina is in my top three along with Auburn and Florida International," Williams said "Auburn said if I come to their camp, there's a good chance they'll offer. But, South Carolina is a real good choice for me right now. I like the atmosphere they have, the program they are building. I like the stadium and the fans and the SEC."
Williams was at USC's spring game and he plans to attend a camp there later this month when he's hoping to land an offer. He visited Miami and Florida International and camped at Florida and FIU. He also plans to visit Wake Forest and Florida State this month.
Williams has offers from Florida International, Eastern Michigan, Central Michigan and Temple. Last season he had 40 tackles and two interceptions.
Williams's twin brother, WR Adrian (6-0 180), also has drawn interest from USC and plans to come in for the July camp. He has offers from Florida International and Central Michigan. Last season he caught 15 passes for 275 yards and four touchdowns.
