The University of South Carolina’s board of trustees has approved charging seat fees for baseball season-ticket buyers.
School spokesman Russ McKinney says the board signed off on the plan Friday.
The athletics department had proposed charging a fee ranging from $25 to $1,500 for those wishing to buy season tickets at SouthCarolina’s new baseball stadium.
The school could raise as much as $1.6 million should it sell out the 5,100 or so seats detailed in the plan.
