Wide receiver DeAngelo Smith (6-0 180) of Kingsland, Ga., said Wednesday night he has decided on USC and plans to commit to the Gamecocks July 17 when he and his mother visit the school.
"My mind is made up and I feel good," Smith said.
Smith said he's told USC recruiter John Hunt of his plans and he expects USC to accept the commitment. Smith camped at USC last month.
"It was good," he said. "I liked the campus."

Smith said he also has offers from Indiana, East Carolina and Western Carolina. He's also getting interest from Vanderbilt, Georgia, Mississippi State and Middle Tennessee State.
Last season, Smith said he had about 30 catches for about 300 yards and 11 touchdowns. He also plays cornerback.
