Three USC signees who are likely to be non-qualifiers plan to enroll at Fork Union Prep, Va., with plans to join the Gamecocks in December.

DE Ronald Byrd, DB Darrell Simmons and DE Chaz Sutton have made plans to play this fall for coach John Shuman. Simmons said he is waiting on USC to review his transcript from a home school, James Madison High School in Norcross, Ga., but indications are he will come up short.

Two other signees, OL Elliot Williams and WR Tori Childers, also might be delayed in enrolling at USC.

Williams is considered a long-shot to qualify, and Childers had a qualifying test score flagged by the university. He is still waiting on a ruling.
