DB Stephon Gilmore (6-2 195) of South Pointe recently trimmed his long list of offers to a final four of USC, Clemson, Alabama and Tennessee. He said Thursday those will be his four official visits and he's not yet set dates. "They are all pretty even," Gilmore said. "Clemson and USC are recruiting me the hardest. I want to go to a school where I can get on the field in a hurry."
Gilmore, who can play several positions, said all of his favorites are recruiting him as a cornerback. He attended USC's Showcase Camp last week and talked with recruiter Ellis Johnson. He talked with his Clemson recruiter Billy Napier on Monday. Gilmore is no doubt getting a lot of advice from those close to him. Two of his best friends, Devonte Holloman and Charles Holmes, have committed to Clemson and USC respectively. That's created a bit of a problem for Gilmore. "I'm close to both of them," he said. "I would like to play with one of them." But he would not say which.
Gilmore, who also has visited Clemson this summer, said he won't take any more visits before he takes his official visits this fall.
