STARKVILLE, Miss. | Three Mississippi State football players, who the school announced have been readmitted to the university, each pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of obstructing an arrest.
The pleas of starting cornerback Anthony Johnson, reserve linebacker Jamon Hughes and reserve defensive tackle Rodney Prince stem from the March 27 on-campus shooting that resulted in the arrest of defensive lineman Quinton Wesley and all-Southeastern Conference offensive lineman Mike Brown.
Hughes, Johnson and Prince withdrew from school shortly afterward. MSU coach Sylvester Croom has said the trio had an "indirect" role in the shooting.
Oktibbeha County Justice Court records show the three players were each fined $638.50.

The school says the three may practice with the team, but are ineligible to compete in the upcoming season.
Croom said the decision represents a "second chance" for the athletes.
