Defensive back Corey Addison (6-1 190) of Jacksonville, Fla., committed to USC while on an unofficial visit to the school Saturday.
"I looked at the educational side in business management, and that's one of the best in the nation," Addison said. "They showed me the depth chart and what they have left, and they wanted me to come play for them."
Addison said he'll be a free safety with the Gamecocks.
"I feel good about it," he said. "Coach Spurrier was telling me that pretty soon they are expecting to win the SEC championship, and I can be a part of it."
