The Gamecocks men's basketball team is 3-0 in its European tour after a 96-93 win Monday night against Nitra Basketball Klub in Nitra, Slovakia.
Devan Downey scored 37 points, including 29 in the second half, in the come-from-behind win. Downey was 10-of-12 shooting in the second half and hit all three of his 3-point attempts.
The Nitra squad led 51-41 at halftime. Brandis Raley-Ross hit a three-pointer with 1:05 to play, while Downey tied the game moments later with a drive to the basket.
A Downey three-pointer with five seconds left in the game lifted USC to victory.

Downey finished with 37 points on 13-of-18 shooting. Zam Fredrick had 22 points on 8-for-14 shooting. Raley-Ross finished with 13 points. Evaldas Baniulis had nine points and five rebounds.
USC will not play Tuesday as the team makes its way to Vienna, Austria. The Gamecocks are scheduled to tour the city in the afternoon.
