OL David Harding (6-5 285) of Orlando and his parents will make an unofficial visit to USC this weekend. The Hardings plan to arrive Friday for what will be their son's first visit with the Gamecocks. He has visited Duke and Florida State, and now he wants to learn what the USC program is all about.
"Duke is out front," Harding said Thursday afternoon, "but my only contact with South Carolina has been with coach Hunt. That's why I'm making the visit to see where South Carolina puts itself."
Harding has 17 offers and wants to make a decision before his season. If he's blown away by the Gamecocks, he said it's possible a commitment could come sooner than later. "I could see me committing later on this weekend or early next week," he said. "But, I want to talk it over with my parents."
Harding's other offers include Vanderbilt, Georgia Tech, Syracuse, Central Florida and Stanford. He plays offensive guard and has just recently build himself up strength wise because he spends his summers with his parents doing missionary work in Ethiopia.
