DB Zeke Motta (6-3 210) of Vero Beach, FL has received offers from USC and Clemson. He visited Clemson this summer among other schools and was impressed. "I only was there for a day but I got to see the campus. It was pretty."
Motta also visited Wake Forest, Boston College, Notre Dame, Auburn, Stanford, and UCLA as well as the Florida schools. He says all of the campuses are nice and that will not likely factor in his decision. "I'm looking at academics and tradition. That's what is important to me."
Zeke is early in the process and his dad has been contacting schools to thank them for their interest. He is focused on the season but plans to sit down with his dad to come up with their top five. As a junior, he had 152 tackles, 7 blocked kicks, four forced fumbles and an interception. He scored one touchdown as a receiver. He plays DB now but expects to play SAM linebacker at the next level. He runs a 4.6 40 but believes his game speed is faster.
"When the game begins, I switch goes on. I think that's more important." Motta has 35 offers including FSU, Miami, Notre Dame, UCLA, Auburn, Illinois, and Wisconsin. He does not have any favorites.
He has had more contact from his Clemson recruiter Chris Rumph. He believes that Robert Gillespie is his USC recruiter but was not sure.
