Shortstop Commits To USC

SS Anthony Iacomini of White Plains, NY has committed to USC according to his hometown newspaper, the Journal News.

Iacomini gained the attention of the Gamecocks while playing at the Impact World Series earlier this month at USC. He batted over .500 and did not commit an error.

After the final game, Iacomini toured the campus and was offered by recruiting coordinator Chad Holbrook. He committed about an hour later.

Iacomini also had offers from Cal State Fullerton, Coastal Carolina, Seton Hall, Temple, High Point and Stony Brook. He also considered the College of Charleston.

Last season for John Jay High School Iacomini batted .575 with 12 home runs and 51 RBIs.
