DB Riyahd Richardson (5-9 165) of Byrnes says that USC has shown some interest in him but has not offered. His only official offer to date is from Texas A&M. Other schools showing interest are NC State, Colorado, Notre Dame, and Penn State.
Richardson has visited USC, NC State, and Texas A&M. "I really liked NC State because their facilities are really nice. Everything is brand new." He said the same thing about A&M. "They took me on a tour of the entire campus so I got to see everything. They also have really nice facilites."
The Byrnes cornerback says he likes to jam his receivers at the line and thinks it is a strength of his. "I'm a small cornerback so I've got to play physical. I don't want them thinking they can push me around." He plans to work on his footwork this season. He also returns punts and kicks and would like to continue to do so at the next level.
Richardson has no favorites but does intend to take official visits to Notre Dame, Texas A&M, and NC State. He recently ran a 4.43 at a Nike Camp. Brad Lawing is his USC recruiter.
