DE Ryan Robinson (6-5 245) of Atlanta, GA has a USC offer and likes the Gamecocks. Robinson has offers from USC, Kentucky, SC State, Western Carolina, and Middle Tennessee State and is garnering interest from Auburn. This summer he camped at Auburn and said things went well.
"I got a chance to meet with Coach (Tommy) Turbeville and he told me he liked my hands. He said they would be keeping an eye on me this year."
Shane Beamer is his recruiter for USC and he says they keep in touch with him. "They're showing me a lot of love. I'd say they are giving more attention then any other school right now." Robinson says he likes USC but has not narrowed his list yet.
His uncle, Gus Robinson, played linebacker for the Gamecocks in the early 80s and Ryan says there are some people in his family that would really like for him to end up in Columbia. The Atlanta defensive end says he has long arms and that helps him keep offensive lineman at a distance but feels he needs to work on his leverage. He had 61 tackles, 14 for loss, and six sacks as a junior. Robinson runs a 4.7 40. He has not decided on where he will take his official visits.
