USC quarterback Tommy Beecher was in a yellow jersey at today's practice and did not partipate in the early portion of drills. He was also clearly favoring his left arm or shoulder as he walked.
Beecher did not play in the fourth quarter of Thursday's 34-0 win over N.C. State, after getting "woozy" with a hit to the head, according to coach Steve Spurrier.
Spurrier said Friday that Beecher didn't need to visit the doctor on Thursday night.
Beecher, a redshirt junior, struggled in his college starting debut, tossing four interceptions. Chris Smelley threw three touchdowns in relief in the fourth quarter, and after the game Spurrier acknowledged that the starting job was "up for debate."

No starter has been named yet for Thursday's game at Vanderbilt. Smelley and redshirt freshman Stephen Garcia were the only quarterbacks throwing in the early part of today's practice.
