WR Eric Williams (5-11 185) of Bradenton, FL says that USC is in his top five. He was not able to make the game this past weekend but did watch on television. Williams liked what he saw from the receiving corps.
"At first I didn't know he (Kenny McKinley) wasn't playing and I kept looking for him. It was really big of the other guys to step up."
Williams says he likes USC because they have so much talent on both sides of the ball. "I think they are as talented as anyone. They just need to mature and eliminate mistakes." Williams likes the coaching staff as well. "They have a lot of great coaches like David Gillespie. They are all being mentored by (Steve) Spurrier and that's someone great to learn from."
Williams plans to take an official visit to USC sometime after the season ends. He also will visit Ole Miss and Purdue. He wants to focus on his senior season right now. In two games, he has two catches for 50 yards and one touchdown. David Reaves is his USC recruiter. Williams runs a 4.4 40.
