DE Chris Crenshaw (6-2 240) of Louisville, GA committed to Georgia Tech earlier this year, but he made an unofficial visit to USC for the Georgia game, and Tuesday night he declared the Gamecocks as his favorite though they have not yet offered.
"Their defense was amazing," Crenshaw said. "I would love to be a part of that defense. Their linebackers are aggressive. They attack."
Crenshaw talked with his USC recruiter John Hunt while at the game and his hoping for some positive news from him. "He told me to send him three of my tapes and they are going to evaluate them," Crenshaw said. "I would really, really love to get an offer from South Carolina. They are my number one."
Crenshaw made an unofficial visit to USC in the summer. He wants to set official visits with USC, Georgia Tech and Mississippi State, and he wants to get back to Columbia for another game. Crenshaw has offers from Georgia Tech, MIssissippi State and Troy, and he said Georgia also has shown interest. He plans to attend the Mississippi State at Georgia Tech game this weekend.
