USC has long been a player with DE Izaan Cross (6-5 253) of Flowery Branch, GA, and now Clemson is in the picture as well. The Tigers recently offered Cross and immediately became a factor. "It's a great school, a great program, and it's not too far from home," Cross said. "I hear great things about it. It's a small community, a small family town. I'm looking into them really hard."
USC has continued to work Cross and he talks regularly with recruiter Shane Beamer. "I've always liked South Carolina," Cross said. "That was one of the schools I was able to see during spring practice. I've liked them from the get-go."
Cross attended the Mississippi State at Georgia Tech game last weekend, and because he's taking an SAT course on Saturdays, he's not been able to get to any other games thus far. He had hoped to go to Clemson this Saturday but won't be able to make it.
Cross said the schools he's focusing on right now are Clemson, USC, Georgia Tech, Arkansas and North Carolina. He has not decided on official visits. Thru four games, Cross has 34 tackles and 3.5 sacks.
