LB Roderick Blunt (6-2 210) of Miramar, FL has narrowed his list to five and says Clemson is his leader. His top five are Clemson, USC, Georgia, Auburn, and FSU. He has three offers right now but is expecting more. USC, Purdue, and Wisconsin are the schools with offers.
Blunt's father Rodney was a runningback for the Tigers from 1989-93. Blunt likes the atmosphere at Clemson and would like to see USC up close. "I've been to Clemson many times so I know what to expect. I would like to see what it's like in (Columbia). It looks good on tv but I want to experience it," he says.
He says that Coach Gillespie keeps in touch with his father because, "I really don't have time because I'm either playing football or studying." Blunt says that graduation rates are very important to his final decision. He plans to take official visits to each of his top five schools but will likely wait until after the season.
