KNOXVILLE, Tenn. | Tennessee coach Phillip Fulmer says cornerback Brent Vinson has been suspended a second time this season.
Fulmer announced Thursday at the Vols' practice that the sophomore will sit out Saturday night against South Carolina for an unspecified violation of team rules.
The 6-foot, 190-pound Vinson was also suspended for Tennessee's season opener at UCLA on Sept. 1 for an unspecified academic problem.
Vinson splits time with starting cornerbacks DeAngelo Willingham and Dennis Rogan, and his absence will leave Tennessee especially thin in the secondary.
