RB Roderick McDowell (5-10 175) of Sumter attended the Tennessee-USC game last Saturday, his first game at USC this season. "The fans were crazy," said McDowell who has been committed to Clemson. "There was nothing wrong with going to watch a football game. It was fun. We talked about the Shrine Bowl and just watched the game. Their defense is good. They had a good offensive game plan. I talked to coach Gillespie and coach Reaves. They are pretty good people. And me and my boy Kyle Nunn talked. He's my brother. I'm still committed to Clemson but my options are still open. I want to wait and see what happens with the coaching staff at Clemson, but I'm still a Clemson Tiger. It doesn't matter where I go, I'm going to make a big impact. I'll have a decision after the Shrine Bowl."
McDowell has an official visit with Clemson scheduled for November 29th. He also plans to take official visits to USC and Kentucky. In Friday's loss to Conway, McDowell rushed for 170 yards and 3 touchdowns giving him 1140 yards and 12 touchdowns on the season.
