USC students have received the following e-mail:
Basketball fans, it's time we form our own identity amongst our competitors. We are having a competition among our student body. We need a name for the Student Section at both Men's and Women's Basketball games. Examples of other schools are the Cameron Crazies at Duke, or the Eruption Zone at Kentucky.
We ask for a name which is catchy, appropriate, and involves the University of South Carolina, whether it is school mascot names, or school colors, or anything which is in support of basketball here at South Carolina. The deadline for this competition is going to be Friday Nov. 7 at 5pm.
Please email your suggestions to email@example.com by the time which has been given, along with your name and university email address or cell phone number (for text purposes only).

IF YOUR NAME FOR THE STUDENT SECTION IS CHOSEN, YOU WILL RECIEVE AN AUTOGRAPHED BASKETBALL FROM HEAD COACHES DARRIN HORN AND DAWN STALEY.
We look forward to this new era of South Carolina Basketball! Go Gamecocks!!!
Sounds like our infamous name-the-blog contest.
How about "The Horn Section"? Or will the band take it?
Or "The Horn o' plenty"? I suppose there actually have to be plenty of students there for it to work, and lately that hasn't been the case.
"The Barnyard" is still looking for a home, given the absence of the Matt and Tim show.
Eh, you guys will have better ideas, I'm sure.
