USC will celebrate Homecoming and Senior Day Saturday against Arkansas, and the Gamecocks have invited four prospects in four official visits, including two who have been committed to them for months.
DE Chaz Sutton (6-4 230) and DE Ronald Byrd (6-7 260) signed with USC last February but didn't qualify. They attend Fork Union Prep, VA.
The other two official visits will be from RB Jarvis Giles (6-0 180) of Tampa and DB Jonathan Scott (6-4 185) of Daytona Beach, FL. In both cases, the Gamecocks go into the weekend trailing another SEC team.
Giles has been committed to Tennessee and remains so despite the pending coaching change. But his commitment was rattled enough by Phillip Fulmer's resignation for him to decide to check out other schools. He also likes Ole Miss and Illinois. Scott currently favors Alabama which has already visited officially. He also has visited West Virginia. He also is looking at Florida State and LSU.
