Former USC recruiting coordinator David Reaves has quickly gone to work contacting players for his new program, Tennessee. Sunday, Reaves phoned RB Jarvis Giles (6-0 180) of Tampa, a former Tennessee commitment whom Reaves had been recruiting heavily for USC. "He called me today and asked me what he's got to do to get me back on Tennessee," Giles said Sunday night. "His move to Tennessee really doesn't affect me at all. I still have interest in Tennessee."
Giles made an official visit to Nebraska for the Colorado game Friday. "The whole atmosphere was crazy," he said. "They like to run the ball. They spread the ball around but one running back carried the ball 30-40 times. That caught my eye."
In home visits for Giles will commence this week. His Nebraska recruiter will be in Monday while head coach Bo Pellini will be in Sunday. USC running backs coach Robert Gillespie will be in Thursday, maybe with Steve Spurrier. Giles said if Spurrier doesn't make it Thursday, he'll be in the following week. A Boston College recruiter is expected to visit Wednessday. Giles has taken official visits to USC and Nebraska and doesn't have any others planned. And he's not claiming a favorite at this point.
