USC commitment DB Devonte Holloman (6-3 210) of South Pointe helped lead his team to the 4A Division 2 championship Friday night at Clemson's Death Valley. Shortly after the game, Holloman, who at one time was a Clemson commitment, received a phone call from the Clemson staff and talked with head coach Dabo Swiinney and assistants Billy Napier and David Blackwell. "They asked me to come in for an official visit and I told them I would get back to them," Holloman said. "They have been coming after me but I'm going to South Carolina. I'm going to South Carolina in January. I doubt I will take the visit with them." Holloman will play in the North-South game Saturday in Myrtle Beach and expects to play on both sides of the ball.
