Hamga Set To Make USC Visit

7-0 center Beas Hamga of Cameroon will make an official visit to USC starting Monday. Hamga confirmed his plans Sunday night. Hamga, who is transferring from UNLV, will leave USC Wednesday and go directly to Rutgers for his second official visit. It is possible he will take one or two more visits before deciding on a new school. Ole Miss, Providence and Wichita State are three other schools which have showed some interest in Hamga since he announced plans to transfer.

Hamga played high school basketball in Illinois and ran across USC coach Darrin Horn during his time there. "I don't really know coach Horn, but he was recruiting one of my teammates to Western Kentucky," Hamga said. "He saw me play and he knows a lot about me and the type of player I am." Hamga was the type of player in high school who considered Kentucky, Indiana, Iowa and New Mexico before signing with UNLV.

Hamga is not sure when he'll decide on his new school.
