ATH Jonathan Davis (5-9 205) of Tucker, GA says he is still strong in his commitment with USC. One of the main reasons Davis chose USC was because of the relationship he formed with recently departed coach Ron Cooper. "I'm sad to see him go," said Davis. "He was a great guy and one of the reasons I chose Carolina."
Davis then added that he has not spoken to Cooper and was not being recruited by LSU to his knowledge. "I can't worry about LSU. I'm a Gamecock," he said. Davis says he is planning on coming to USC and competing for a starting position at the position Emmanual Cook vacated. "I know I'm ready. I've been working for this my entire life. Right now I'm running track and getting faster and still working on my (tackling) technique. I want to make an impact," he added.
Davis does not plan on taking any other official visits.
