Stephon Gilmore, a defensive back/quarterback from South Pointe High School in Rock Hill, has been named to the Parade Magazine All-America high school football team. Gilmore has already enrolled at South Carolina.

The other player from South Carolina on the team is Malliciah Goodman, a defensive lineman from West Florence High School. Goodman is a Clemson commitment.

Gilmore led South Pointe to a 15-0 record and the South Carolina AAAA Division II title after rushing for 1,264 yards and 23 touchdowns and passing for 1,770 yards with 14 scores.

Goodman is described by several scouting services as having the “largest hands” they have ever seen.

The entire team will be featured in Parade in Sunday’s paper.
