QB Andrew Clifford (6-2 1/2 210) of Tampa, FL has received recent interest from the USC coaching staff.
Steve Spurrier and G.A. Mangus were in Tampa to visit with Clifford. "They called Monday and said they would like to meet him," said his father, Tom Clifford. "They invited him to take an offcial visit on January 30th."
Tom Clifford played qb at Florida in the 1970s and had two brothers who have played at Clemson. "I'm really familiar with the rivalry," he chuckled. "In all seriousness, I've heard it's a beautiful campus and look forward to visiting."
Clifford has offers from Charleston Southern and Liberty and has been drawing recent attention from other schools as well. Florida Atlantic, Central Florida, and Colgate have all shown interest and asking Clifford to visit.

Clifford grew up a Florida Gator fan and would love the opportunity to play for Coach Spurrier. "He even told me he would love to get yelled at by the coach," said his father playfully.
USC has not offered but they are hopeful an offer will me made.
